Clallam County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (CCARES)
Clallam County ARES is a network of volunteer amateur radio operators that provides backup emergency radio service to the County government and to other response agencies on the Peninsula. In addition to this vital communications link, ARES supports community events such as the North Olympic Discovery Marathon, college and community safety fairs and the Clallam County Fair, with volunteers and equipment.
ARES works with the Clallam County Amateur Radio Club to promote amateur radio through training, weekly radio nets, radio license classes and testing.
